Why new Razors SL and not new Shifts?

Would it be cheaper to put out a new colorway on one mold and not another? I imagine they put a lot of money into the Shift so why not do new colorways to push sales on that mold?

Maybe the concept (gimmick) behind the shift skate was not that great. We need sturdy skates. And I'm not convinced that adding two screws will help that much. They look like they fit great, but anything with a heavy landing would worry me.

Do SL's sell better? I know a few people who've bought shifts and gone back to the SL because of issues with the shift, uncomfortable, poor fitting, tabs sticking.

I've really enjoyed my shifts. I know people have had issues, but I haven't had any personally. I'd love to see another colour shift released. They could do so much with the design in terms of using the soul plate and sliders. I'd like them attempt some kind of aeon style soul plate with the frame attached or maybe sliders with different depth royal groove, similar to the SL maybe (some people don't like that groove but I did).

Having said that SL's are still good skates, but that mint colour is gross.

Yeah, you simply can not have issues like that in this market and expect said product to continue doing well. Imo if you saw this clip or any of the other examples of similar failures floating around, and you still wanted these skates, you are not too bright. That is a potentially life threatening product flaw.

Also after re-watching that clip I had not realized before that his sole detached before he even left the rail. I can only imagine "I miss my sl's" is all that is going through his head as the whole lower half o his skate bounces up into his view.

I wonder what Razor’s liability form entails..... “....and if our skate explodes mid trick.....”. Hopefully Sneaky is getting health insurance.

And somebody lost the bottom of their Shift at blading cup, maybe the new SL is a sign...

The new colorway Shift will be released soon in mustard yellow/brown. (Not a joke).
                  Hello friend.

Andy W. was standing right behind me when this happened. I heard him say "This is embarrassing" before diving into his phone.

If I were him I'd re-design the midsole and sole plate into a one piece sole. Hell, take a cue from the Aeon and make a GC soleframe.

Ohh man... That's like putting a bullet in a lame horse.

*Though on second thought, that might look pretty nice if done right.

If they make it that cream/mustard color that the Cult's were.... I think it would work well.
