    Kaltik kid skates

Kaltik are teasing these new kids skates. I've seen the shell on alibaba before but obviously they seem to be UFS which is really cool. Wonder what price they will go for. I'm about to buy my 4 year old his first skates and he's a UK11 kids, so he's almost dead-on for this skate. I'd probably start him on a flat setup though - probably no intention of grinding for a long time!

Certainly a step in the right direction in terms of getting kids into skating. Agree there’s not much point putting a freestyle frame on a kids skate but I guess it’s their product so it makes sense for them to sell it as a complete setup - though they do make the flat frame, that might be a better option? Maybe they’ll offer both who knows. The worrying thing for them would be their route to market. If parents are buying their kids skates chances are their just gonna look on Amazon or eBay for some cheap inline skates. Good luck to them though!

They don't look like they are adjustable. Do they come in more than one size? My soon to be 8 year old son has been using red and black K2 80 Mini skates since he was 4 (they were way too big, child size 3 US) and he'll be able to use them for at least another year or so (they top out at size 6 US). I'm looking for something new for him, as well.

There are a few pairs of brand new K2 kid's skates on US eBay for around $100, but I don't think I'll go that route right now.

I was leaning towards the K2 Raider for him to be honest. They look solid, cheapish and being K2 should have decent hardware and resale value. I just think it's cool Kaltik have done this, but yeah, they don't look adjustable. Maybe there's a footbed insert?
