i'm 6 ft exact too and i ride like a 56-57. i think a 56 with like a 110mm stem and some seatpost length is pretty dead on.

hills don't stop hipsters. especially the ones i see walking their bikes up hills here. getting out of downtown halifax on any vehicle is gnarly enough, i can't believe no one takes that into consideration when purchasing a bike.

i don't think i'll be making it to the gnar b q this year which sucks because i went to the last 2. i'm just broke and last year was such a hassle i don't think i can do it this year.

Yeah because it's SUPER lame to be able to stop. What a faggot.

                I wonder the same thing.

If you live in a flat town would it be better?

Seattle is literally build on steep ass hills. Yet I see hipster fixed gear people all over the place. It's really out of hand here.
Bombing hills is the best part.

                    this video is so lame.

clearly they aren't getting the point. i don't know any "functional" working brake that isn't as efficient as skidding. that stupid twat(man or woman), clearly setup that demonstration. i can stop my bike in a matter of 10 feet from full speed if needed. that dipshit would have been completely through an intersection.

i ran without a brake in MN, but there are paved trails everywhere, so it's no need to stop like that.

and you can see that other guy/girl is riding the coaster brake like a pussy. all of us have had coaster brake bikes at one point and you know you can crank those mother fuckers and stop.

here is the article from that court appearance.

                          http://bikeportland.org/2006/07/28/j...t-with-fixies/

making a stink of it basically shot herself in the foot. now the cops will be looking harder at bikes. if i were a fixed gear rider in portland(which i could very well be someday) i would be sending hate mail. i know i would get stopped, because my brake is black and almost invisible on my bike.
