thing that scares me about that bike is that my klein was 2-3lbs lighter than it before it was even a fixed gear.

You get what you pay for. Most all the parts look cheap as hell, so you may end up spending more money than you planned on. One of my friends bought one of these cheap-ass bikes before and his pedals stripped out of the treads in the cranks....so he bought new pedals, cages and cranks. The week later the cranks stripped off the bottom bracket bottom bracket. Shortly after that the locknut and cog stripped off the hub, and he had to get a whole new rear wheel. This is after buying risers and a new saddle to make it more comfortable. After about 2 more weeks of riding his tires were already gone and he had to get new tires. I think he also broke the seat clamp when adjusting the seat post.

So what i'm saying is.....just about everything on that bike will probably break fairly quickly. Instead of spending like $500 on a shitty bike with stronger parts, I'd probably just put the money into buying a KiloTT pro as suggested above

I ordered a Windsor from them a couple months ago. It hasn't had a single issue, whatsoever, and they shipped it to my front step in under 5 days, for free.

If you buy it I'd get a new cog and pedals immediately, at the very least just get the cog. They use cheap forged cogs on those bikes, get yourself a heavy duty machined one. If you don't you WILL be blowing out that rear hub.

Best advice to you...find a bike co-op somewhere near you. You can find frames, cranks, bars, whatever for free or sometimes for a small donation.

It'll be way better to wait and save up some cash/parts and have a durable fun to ride bike.

That's WAY too big for you unless you're 90% legs. I'm 5'7 and ride a 51. Perfect stand over.

As for the bike, seems reasonable for $229. If not then go bikesdirect.com and get a mercier kilo tt

Agreed, I'm about 5'7 and I ride a 49cm. I didn't think about it before, but if you're 5'8" and ride a 58cm you must have a very odd shaped body or you like the feel of top tube hitting your nut sack every time you get off your bike.

Tough to say. Everyone is built different. Best way to find out is go to your LBS and stand over some bikes. Getting the wrong size bike fucking sucks.

Just focus on the stand over height. Everything else can be adjusted by getting a longer stem or seat post, but you can't adjust hitting your balls on the top tube.

It's more about stand over height and cock pit length than it is height. Check the charts on the site. Try to get a size as close as possible to what you think would fit. You can fine tune how your bike fits by changing the length/size of your components if you really would like.

read that look at the measurements for each size then go to a shop that has the same size bike. try it out then buy the size that fits you best. Don't jump the gun and get a bike that your dont feel comfortable on.

BTW I am going by the chart as well, I don't think it's going to be too much of a hassle just thinking too much about this.
