    Anyone want a 58mm .5x wide angle, or a homemade mini35 for a GL-1?

I was cleaning out a section of storage in my Mother's basement the other day and came across a pile of old rollerblading stuff, which was right next to my pile of outdated camera equipment that I never got rid of.

Among that stuff was a Bower Digital Optics .5x screw on wide angle (58mm), which at the time I got it was way better than the cheap Raynox clip ons, but obviously nowhere near the Century lens. Very minimal distortion, no vignetting.

I also have a homemade mini35 adapter. It works with the GL-1 because the lens hood is fused to the box with the screen inside, and on the other side has a Canon FD mount, for which I have a 50mm 1.8 lens. You'll have to slide the screen to the right focal length because it has been shaken around, but it worked well for me, and the mechanics of it are very simple to calibrate correctly.

If anyone has any use for this stuff, or still plays with an old GL or 58mm diam DV cam and wants some extras, they are yours if you wanna to pay shipping. It's one of those things where I know they are worthless, but hate to throw them away. It's unlikely that I'll check this thread again, so if you want them, email me at [email protected] and I'll get it out to you asap.

I also think that it is always worth having a good camera at hand for such moments.
