    Choosing a camcorder

So, i'm really sick and tired of filming with my Canon 60D. The quality is good for stills but i miss being able to zoom in and out with just the touch of a button. Alot of people started using the old GX's and XM's for that Beau Cottington feel but i don't want to ever have to make an edit out of DV-tapes again.

So i ask you Be-mag, what camcorder would you recommend within the semi-pro range? Somewhere between 1500-2000 dollars.
My only real demands are minimun 50/60fps, higher would be nice too. 10bit color, 1 or 2 SD-cards, handle on top for microphone and sick fisheye moves, ProRes compressor and manual focus ring.

    Thanks

Good luck finding that on a new cam for that budget. A used HVX or HPX might work for you, if you're cool with DVCProHD on P2 media.

I've been looking into the Canon XF100 and the XA20. Anyone have any experience with these? Because they are within the consumer price range and they seem to have a lot of similarities to the old XM2 but it shoots in 4:2:2 and you can overcrank the fps to 120 i heard.

That sucks, but thanks for the input on the Mic to get. I was leaning towards getting the Rode
