    i smashed my f**king fisheye

    I dropped it whilst it was in the bag and it cracked in the screw wells which hold the mount on and the plastic ring between the mount and the apature ring is cracked. Ive contacted a whole bunch of places but this part seems almost impossible to get hold of.

    Anyone done any DIY repair jobs? the shitty thing is ive only had it for a month.

    I threw it up on ebay as faulty and got offered £70, not sure if i should try fix or cut my losses and buy a new one?!!

    cut your losses and sell it, let someone else worry about it.

        Consider that by trying to fix it yourself, you'll be exposing the internal elements to dust. What brand lens & how much was it?

              no possible dude, id imagine that point on the lens takes a fair bit of energy screwing and unscrewing the mount on. I think it would hold initially but eventually fall off.

              I sold it yesterday for £70 along with a pair of oakley sunglasses i found on the train for like £70, so its basically paid for a new one.
