The bit rate, compression, and audio have more of an effect on video than the sensor.

Overheats much more often, no manual audio, fixed screen, and most importantly.... no Magic Lantern.

Yup, I was going to say 550d as well. Great price for features.

Well if you're moving into the DSLR cameras, you have to bare in mind a few things. You'll need lenses, as well as a computer that will be able to handle HD footage.

I'm personally not a fan of the nikon cameras for video. Some other people may disagree, but I find the camera to have a inferior censor than the Canon 7D or Canon 5D. But if your price range is for £379.97, then that'll be tough. The Canon 7D is at least £1,000 body only (no lenses) but you might be able to score it off of craigslist.

    Camera advice for filming.

I want to get into filming/editting and taking photos, mostly for rollerblading, and the simple matter is, I know sweet F.A about cameras. I found this camera, and just wanted some advice whether it will be a good starter camera, and if it will be good for filming etc... Any advice would be very much appreciated.
